My original review of this product was very poor. It had connectivity issues and false alarms constantly. It would read for 5 min and then go off. The breathing portion would always only read about 9-12 breaths/minute. It just didn’t seem right. The company reached out to me, offering a refund and replacement. I declined refund but wanted to give the product another shot. They sent a new one within a day! I’m glad I tried again. After using for 3 nights, I haven’t had to mess with placement of the product and haven’t had one false alarm. My first review was 1 star, but their customer service is great and has no issue making things right. This monitor works great, so long as you get a working one.

We just had a baby that was in the NICU for 43 days. We have both an owlet and the Sense U. Unfortunately the Owlet is still too big for our little preemie, so the Sense U has been a life saver! We are definitely happy we bought this product and it does well for us.My only complaint would be that it’s not rechargeable and it can only be synced to one device at a time.

I was not sure what to make of the device at first, since I had already invested in other smart devices that function similar to the Sense-U. The biggest difference in this device is that it’s incredibly easy to put on the infant/baby. The instructions states that the device should be installed by the infant’s belly button and between a thin piece of clothing. The entire process from start to finish (including Bluetooth pairing) took less than a few minutes. What’s even better, the device stays on the infant/baby throughout the night no matter how much he moves.More than anything though, this device provides me with the peace of mind during my baby’s sleep and I’m glad I purchased it. I would recommend this device to any parents.

When my baby was 8 days old, he had an apneic spell, desaturated and turned blue so we spent the next 2 weeks in the pediatric intensive care unit. We were scared to go home because we didn’t know if these episodes would come back again after being discharged so we purchased the Owlet. We’re happy being able to monitor my son’s heart rate and O2 levels which was our biggest concern. We started off by having him wear it all day and night and the battery life kept up with the amount of time he had it on. Since our purchase in July (now late September), we only put it on at nights and charge it during the day and have enough battery left over for the next night if it’s not charged for the day. Monitor will play “Mockingbird” lullaby and light up yellow if the placement is off or the sock has fallen off and can’t get a reading. Same lullaby will play if the base gets disconnected from the sock and will light up blue which are the 2 most common reasons why the monitor goes off. Personally it doesn’t bother me when that happens, but I know some people hate it and consider it a ‘false’ alarm. The monitor will turn red and make a really loud annoying sound to notify you of any abnormal changes in baby’s heart rate or oxygen level. My kid can get his heart rate pretty high when he’s crying, so I turn off the monitor when he’s crying to avoid it going off. I also turn off the monitor and remove the smart sock off child’s foot when he has a dirty diaper because he can dig his foot in his poop if I don’t. Remember to turn off the monitor by app or base before taking off the sock to avoid monitor going off. Heart and oxygen levels are pre-set and there’s no way to change that. One thing we learned while being in PICU was not to read the monitor when it’s going off, instead look at your baby to determine if he/she is truly in distress.Bottom line, you’re either going to love the Owlet, or you’re going to hate it.

I wanted to love this product. It gave me relief and piece of mind for the first few weeks we used it with our newborn. However, after two weeks we noticed a major red marking on his foot where we put the sock. It looks like a ton of blood vessels have burst in his foot and the Owlet product is definitely to blame. We had to immediately stop using the product to avoid harming our baby. Buyer beware of this possible reaction when using this product on your baby. So disappointed to have to return this.

Im only giving 4 stars because you have to pay to get the additional services on their Conected Care app. I feel like for the price of the item all services should be included. However, I do sleep much better knowing my little one is being monitored. He has a heart condition so I keep it on him most of the time during the day too for my own peace of mind.

I can not stress enough what this product has done for me!I had my first baby one month early at 4 pounds and was very nervous about her breathing etc. I also then decided to research SIDS and at that point I DID NOT SLEEP! My newborn was sleeping hours a day and I spent my free time staring at her. Everytime she would sleep soundly I would move her to make sure she was still breathing. Two months in I could not take my sleep deprivation anymore! I decided to research into breathing monitors and everything I found was so so pricey! I then stumbled upon the SENSE-U breathing monitor. Not only did it have good reviews but it was in my price range! It was incredibly fast shipping and took me three days to fully trust it but once I seen it was accurate, I slept and sleep so well now! I’ve been using the SENSE-U monitor for one month and have had ZERO problems!I had one low breathing alert and it was MY FAULT! if the onsie is not tight the monitor won’t be flush against the baby and you can not get an accurate reading. I changed her to a onsie that fit and no problems again after that! If your questioning if you should buy this product…DONT HESITATE! Get that piece of mind and I promise it’s worth every penny! The Bluetooth connection is strong unless I walk outside then it dissconnects But in my one bedroom apartment it is no problem here! It has a roll over alert that gives you an alert if tummy sleeping is detected. It shows you if the baby is on left or right side. If the low breathing alert comes on I PROMISE you will hear it! Perfectly loud!! I would give this product 10 stars if I could!

Awesome product! It is about the size of a 50 cent piece. My little guy doesn’t even know it is there!

As a first time parent, it is hard not to worry about everything that could possibly happen while caring for an infant. This product has totally alleviated my worst fear of all. The settings can be adjusted based on your level of anxiety! My son’s is set to let me know if any significant breathing changes occur and most importantly if he rolls over. It is allowing me and his mom to get quality, relatively anxiety-free sleep!

I wanted to love this, it honestly has great potential. It isnt really compatible with my samsung galaxy s10+. I had to restart my phone to get it to connect each time I closed out of the app. The alerts were accurate and it could definitely tell when my baby was actively moving around and when he was on his side I was notified immediately. The problem I had was when I put him down for a nap and the connection on it disconnected because it relies on bluetooth. When I went downstairs I immediately got a proximity notice on my phone. Not worth keeping if I have to be in the same room or on the same floor to keep it working. Switch to wifi operation and maybe make it rechargeable with the next model and I’d try it again in a heartbeat. They did provide 4 batteries in the box which I thought was nice.

As a paramedic, some of my tougher experiences on the job caused me to be a hyper vigilant parent. When we brought home our newborn, I couldn’t fall asleep unless he was up nursing with his mother, the more asleep he was, the more awake I was. We ordered several of the various biometric / wireless devices and MonBaby was the only one we didn’t send back. Easy to use, not cumbersome or uncomfortable for baby, portable when traveling. MonBaby brought peace of mind and sleep back into my life and let me enjoy parenting our great sleeper!

So here is the deal, I love the idea of this and for the most part it works great! However, I have 3 complaints: 1. The battery life last only about 10 days using it every night. So factor in cost of batteries. 2. The clip is very easy to crack. Our first one cracked so we had to ask for a replacement. 3. The monitor loses it’s Bluetooth connection for no reason sometimes even though the monitor nor the phone has moved. So I have to reconnect. That is aggravating during the night. If you are like me and can live with these things in order to get some peace of mind then I recommend it. If you can’t live with these, I’d look for another product that suits your needs more. One other thing is it drains your phone battery.
