My son is currently 2months old(weighing 15lbs) and we own just about every type of baby gear you imagine.. a rocker, swing, bumbo, Stand/Air n’ play, etc. Even though my son is on the bigger side, he still needs to learn how to sit up and hold his head up perfectly. I noticed a pattern that he no longer wants to be in a lay down position and would just prefer to sit up on my lap or be held in a sit up position. I GOT TIRED OF HOLDING MY BIG BOY FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME(don’t judge >.< back pain was kicking my rear). I attempted to put him in the bumbo once and NEVER RECOMMEND it because there was not much support! I found this FP sit me up and ordered IMMEDIATELY!The millisecond I plopped my son in this bad boy he was lovin’ it! He hasn’t managed to grab at the dangling toys yet but he just loves to sit up on his own and look/talk to everything! I’m able to cook, clean and just relax while he entertains himself in the darn thing! My son loves it and my back definitely loves it! Highly recommend!!

This item is easy to assemble didn’t even take ten minutes. My lil 2 month old can’t sit up by himself just yet but I put him in this he was instantly entertained. He grabbed at the lil toys and smiled quite a few times in approval lol. He actually fell asleep in it at that point he toddled to the side a bit and I took him out to put him down for his nap. It give good support. He laid back in it and looks rather comfortable. It’s easy to transport through the house. I was able to set it on our island as I did the dishes. Which was great because he could see me and was well entertained. I was surprised how he was able to stay upright in this being he is only 2 months and about 9lbs or so. The colors are bright and the toys are bright and easy for their little hand to grab. Hope this helped!

Easy to put together. My baby is 2.5 months, she’s had good control of her neck for several weeks and loves to sit up so I ordered this so she can sit up without having to be held constantly. She was all smiles the second I put her in it. Highly recommend for curious babies with good neck control.

My 3 month-old daughter has grown to LOVE this piano mat! She was only 2 months when we first tried it out and she was stimulated by the hanging toys, but now she can lay there for 20-30 minutes just kicking away! She is teething so she tries to bring the toys to her mouth. I like that I can hang lots of different toys to mix it up, and the songs are ADORABLE! I find myself singing along and they will always be apart of these precious moments and memories with our baby. I can already see that she will love this when she can sit up too! GREAT PRODUCT Fisher-Price

First things first, the base was difficult to assemble. Two of the pieces that are supposed to slide together took about as much muscle as I have. The other half slid together like they are supposed to. I could have just gotten a couple bad pieces, I don’t know. I actually emailed Fisher Price customer support because I couldn’t get them to go together, but I did finally get it. I took off a star for that. My 3 month old seems to really enjoy the music and hanging toys.Pros:-Very colorful and engaging toys-Great music-it can grow with your baby. There are three stages for the piano. The first stage plays music on its own and will make additional piano key music when your baby kicks the keys. The second stage will say what animal is pictured on the key that your baby kicks. The third stage is just piano key music. You can also position the piano and mat for sitting up play instead of laying down. The piano can also just be taken off and used as a small piano toy.Cons:-Mat is pretty tiny. My three month old is pretty tall, but I can’t see this mat fitting his body length past 6 months. This could be someone else’s pro if you have limited space.-Assembly wasn’t easyOverall a great mat. I bought a more expensive mat that is more visually appealing to an adult’s eye so that it isn’t so “the baby took over the living room” but he doesn’t like it because it’s not fun for him. The toys aren’t bright enough. He really loves this mat and attached toys and I feel that it is a great value! He actually just fell asleep on the mat while I wrote this review!

We got this for our daughter who loves to kick and loves lights! She was born with very complicated eye issues and the lights and music have been able to help her have fun and learn. The best is that the piano can be tilted and or removed and used when she starts to sit up. I LOVE that the toy holder bar can be manipulated to different areas and still be really sturdy. The big downfall for us is how narrow the mat is and because she doesn’t enjoy tummy time that much and likes to roll over/lay on her sides, the plastic holders obviously aren’t soft. We end up having to wrap the sides with a blanket which still feels uncomfortable. After using the piano nonstop everyday and all day long for 3 months, I finally replaced the 3-AA batteries. The toys are very fun for her to play with but a bit out of reach cause she is a 10lb -6 month old baby, but adding a few extra rings does the trick.***Update: 9-22-18***The lights!! The lights! I’ve replaced batteries twice since getting it in June! Thank goodness for rechargeable batteries. We do use it everyday, probably for about 1-2 hours. The lights however are now starting to look more dim, the yellow and blue don’t even light up anymore after the first 10 seconds. Pretty sad since my daughter loves this piano! The major selling point was the detachable light up piano to use in the future. I”m going to contact the company to see if they can offer a solution since their website doesn’t offer replacements for this item.
